2020 Season Preview

Head Coach: James Reid (1st Season)

2019 Overall Record: 9-16  /  Shore Conference:  7-14  /  B-Central:  3-2
Sectionals: CJG1 Quarterfinalists
8th Place District 20
3rd Place B-Central
31st Place Shore Conference Tournament

Down Low (106-132): There is some good experience down low for the Titans, with three of their four double digit winners returning from last season in this group. Seniors Kobi Ferrer and Shea Hoff are two of those returning, and looking to have big years in their final season. Both are capable of winning 20+ matches, and will also provide veteran leadership in this group of lowers. The other returning starter is junior Jesse Berescky, who is coming off a 16-win sophomore season. They give new head coach James Reid a good nucleus to break in some newcomers to the lineup around.

In The Middle (138-160): Senior Elijah Moore is the returning wins leader for the Titans, having recorded 19 wins a year ago while finishing one win shy of a trip to the Regions. He is a veteran presence in what could be an otherwise very young group that will include returning starter Michael Morro, a sophomore, as well as promising freshmen Joe Minardi, William Huhn, and Ian Mendez.

Up Top (170-Hwt): Over the last several years, Keansburg has been able to produce some good talent in their upperweights. The group that will look continue that trend include a pair of returning starters in Matthew Gillen, a senior, and sophomore Keyshaun Coppinger Ward. There will be several newcomers to the lineup looking to make an impact here as well, including seniors Arjun Shah, Jeremy Gochez, and Arjun Shah, as well as junior Gabriel Braithwaite.

The Titans have a pretty good mix of seniors and youth in the room this season. Most of last year's freshmen are back, and they have a good flow of frosh coming in this year, as well. The feeder program has been improved over the years, and hopefully that is beginning to filter up to the high school level. They have numbers here, and if they can stay healthy, should be in position to put together a full lineup, as they look to be competitive in the division, and improve on last season's win total.
